what do you mean? what's wrong? it's ripped from the box "The Complete Blue Note Sixties Sessions" - the box contains 24bit mastered music - it's far better than unmastered, original cd release from 86... it's said in .rar file, the tunes are in right sequence since the box conains recording order (not LP-order). |

meszrum, i think he ment separate tracks. It's not deadly, but still not as close to the original CD as rip to one CDImage track ![]() |

First of all don't take it as personal offence - it's a great release of a very good artist, it's just not right to do rips this way ![]() C:\Program Files\Exact Audio Copy\Plugins\wapet.exe (User Defined Encoder) 320 kBit/s I posted your log because I know few other maniacs who downloads only perfect rips... |

what's that way? it's also said in description of my ed2k link: [eac.ape.covers] intead of[eac.ape.cue.covers]. I used to release only CDImage things, but in this particular case it was impossible since in my country the distributor of Blue Note just do not have this CD in its catalog. I could release old BN 84195 but it was pointless due to the quality of sound (it qualifies to .mpc at the most...). |

Not sure what you mean - if you can rip a CD as tracks - you can rip it as image, right? ![]() ![]() I disagree that it does not matter if it tracks or image - if you spend your time on EAC releases you might as well do it right ![]() |

mate, get my idea well... I was tryin' to release the best sound quality in this case - not the best copy. I thought that it was pointless to release some unremastered CD from '86 while I have on the shelf sweet 24bits release [I'm the audiophile]... the second thing: did you mean my EAC is not configured well? where? if you could point it'd be great... ok, on CD 4 of that box there are 8 tunes - 5 from the "Maiden Voyage" and 3 from other albums... what's the point to release the material that's not on the original LP? |
Posted by: LF_ on 22-08-2004, 02:55 |
It will be the same sound if you release the best copy, you can have both ![]() ![]() |

drive's cache is disabled, isn't it? ASPI fu**** my system last time, so I'm no the one who loves ASPI... and once again: on CD 4 of that box there are 8 tunes - 5 from the "Maiden Voyage" and 3 from other albums... what's the point to release the material that's not on the original LP? if I released '86 "Maiden Voyage" it would have poor sound quality, since the Box from 1999 is Rudy Van Gelder edition what means that all the tracks are remastered usin' Super Bit Mapping... what would you choose then? |
