Thanks to KillerRips The Allman Brothers Band. Shades of Two Worlds. 1991 Review by Bruce Eder The group's follow-up to their comeback album is a major step forward, with more mature songs, more improvisation than the group had featured in their work since the early 1970s, and more confidence than they'd shown since Brothers and Sisters. It's all here, from acoustic bottleneck playing ("Come On In My Kitchen") to jazz improvisation ("Kind of Bird"), with the most reflective songwriting ("Nobody Knows") in their history. 1 End of the Line Allman, Haynes, Jaworowicz 2 Bad Rain Betts, Haynes 3 Nobody Knows Betts 4 Desert Blues Betts, Haynes 5 Get on With Your Life Allman 6 Midnight Man Betts, Haynes 7 Kind of Bird Betts, Haynes 8 Come on in My Kitchen Johnson Gregg Allman Organ, Piano, Vocals Dickey Betts Guitar (Acoustic), Guitar, Guitar (Rhythm), Vocals, Slide Guitar, Cover Art Concept Warren Haynes Guitar (Acoustic), Guitar, Guitar (Rhythm), Guitar (Steel), Vocals (bckgr), Slide Guitar Jaimoe Jaworowicz Percussion, Drums, Vocals (bckgr) Marc Quiñones Percussion, Conga Butch Trucks Percussion, Drums, Vocals (bckgr) Allen Woody Bass, Fretless Bass, Bass (Acoustic) eac-cue-flac-scans-rar 360MB |
