After years of progressive rock, Wakeman shifted gears and produced this, his first solo piano album. Recorded on a Bosendorfer grand piano and sold as a new age album, it's a pleasant and soothing collection of original compositions — engagingly melodic, subdued, and tasteful. (The recording is marred slightly by some low-end distortion, but it's a minor complaint.)

This is the second volume of Wakeman's "Airs" trilogy of solo new age piano pieces. It's a fine showcase for Wakeman the virtuoso, with strong playing on a variety of original compositions. More diverse in mood than its predecessor (the original Country Airs), it ranges from the playful "Flying Fish" to the reflective "Time and Tide" to the forceful showpiece "The Sailor's Lament."

The final installment in Wakeman's new age piano trilogy (the first two being Country Airs and Sea Airs), Night Airs is an elegant collection of new compositions, with the overall mood being one of reflection. A few pieces, such as "The Sad Dream," strike a pensive note, and the lively "Jack Frost" provides contrast.

Ну что, за Вейкмана будем браться? Я не уверен, что это то, без чего я не смогу прожить, но некоторые вещи оставили неизгладимый след, который боюсь порушить сейчас. У меня нет ни одного абома. А все ссылки до сих пор живы?!! Олч, а что у нас творится с ELP?

в мою докомпьютерную эру приносили мне послушать альбом Вэйкмана - Зодиак я его даже записал на кассету(которую впоследствии выбросил с отальными за неимением магнитофона)

может у кого есть это альбом - поделитесь :punk:
