Nothing new under the Sun. When i discovered Flower Kings, and the whole bunch of great progressive musicians from Sweden (Anglagard, Par Lindh, etc), i wondered - how come that such a wonderful music is played in 90s - i thought this art was lost somewhere at the end of 70ies. But soon i found out, that the Flower Kings leader, guitarist Roine Stolt, started his carieer in the time, which was right for art-rock, that is in the middle seventies. Kaipa was the first album where we could enjoy his playing, AFAIK. It's quite different from FK, Roine is young yet, and the group has a face of it's own, but his guitar playing is unmistakable. He wrote the last two instrumentals on the album - he doesn't sing yet. All the vocals are done by the band's keyboardist, and they are quite ok - though i don't understand a single word in swedish. There's english translation for the lyrics, but even there wasn't, it's perfectly clear from the music and voice what are the songs about - Nature, Music, People... Very positive and bright, like early Yes albums. Don't overlook this forgotten jewel from seventies.

This is one of the greatest debut albums from the 70's in Scandinavia. I love the sound and the arrangements here. The singer has a very pleasant high voice. Many of the songs have traces of swedish folkmusic here and there. Being a swede I also understand the lyrics, which btw are written in english in the booklet. All of the tracks are favourites here. I only give 4 stars and not five because 1)The next album would be even more tastefully arranged and more explorative 2)There are some silly stuff going on in the last track which i never seem to get passed. Stuff shouted in italian or something...? =P Otherwise, I recommend this and the following album "Inget nytt under solen".

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the first Kaipa album, originally released in December 1975, InsideOut Music will release a limited edition five cd-box KAIPA: The Decca Years 1975–1978 in November 2005. The box includes remastered versions of the three first Kaipa albums: KAIPA (1975) Inget nytt under solen (1976) and Solo (1978). It also includes a 56 pages booklet and two bonus discs: Kaipa Live (including live recordings from 1976–1978) and 1974 Unedited Master Demo Recording (including rare recordings and several never published songs recorded at Kaipa rehearsal room during the summer of 1974).

Kaipa's music holds a unique position in the music scene, with their symphonic rock coloured by the centuries-old Swedish choral- and folk music traditions. The result is a timeless music, which is equally valid today as it was 30 years ago, and will continue to be so for years to come.

The 5-CD box is released worldwide in a limited edition of 3000 copies.

тут дело не в раздаче - а народ мало знаком с этими шведскими парнями, потому надо потихоньку, шо б разсмаковали, шо б поняли Кaipa - ЛЕГЕНДАРНАЯ СУПЕРГРУППА!, и не все из купивших одну из 3000 копий етой коробочки будут её раздавть в сети :drag:

спасибо, но шо у меня скенера нету? аль картинки плохо у меня получаются? :actu:

сканы конвертов всех дисков уже упакованы вместе с флаками, а буклет с коробкой будут отдельно :hi:

да нет, мне больше второй и третий, да и live отличный альбом, а в первом, как по мне, ещё маловато прога, но шaрить то лучше обычно по хронологии :drag:

По стандарту паузы должны быть 2 сек ровно

Последнее время я уже не знаю что бывает - такие CUE попадаются, что даже не знаю... Но на счет хрен смутишь - намек понял

Послушал этот альбом, чувствуются скандинавские корни, да и инструменталисты они отличные. Органно-синтезаторные пассажи - просто супер! В целом, настроение у музыки светлое. Я же ожидал чего-то более меланхолично-флойдового.. Но всё равно, спасибо, хорошая музыка.
