Review: A "theme" CD from the Finnish band with the biggest "Big Hair" in the Galaxy. A little obsessive with the tractors and vodka, but I get a Big Bang out of the rock'n'roll. The Red Army Choir lends its impressive voices and instruments to unlikely hits "Jupiter Calling", "Space Tractor", "Ulan Bator Girls" and "L.A. Doga Beach". My favorite tracks are the plaintive "[Give Me Back My] Leningrad" ("oh no, they've gone and named my home Saint Petersburg...") and the rollicking "Galina [The Crazy Boatman]" ("up and down the coast, she is raping men; plundering the willages and raping again; spitting on the women and stealing all she can...") This band will not appeal to everyone. But those who can appreciate rock music with a unique Eastern European flavor will get a lift out of "The Leningrad Cowboys Go Space". Track List: 1 Where's the Moon 2 Space Tractor 3 Universal Fields 4 Jupiter Calling 5 Galina 6 Leningrad 7 Ulan Bator Girls 8 Brave New World 9 Nadja 10 Matushka 11 Zastarovje 12 L.A. Doga Beach 13 Little Green Men Log:
