Madonna - Like A Virgin (1984) Japan 1st Press 32XD-102 Target ![]() Amazon.com Madonna's second album was her breakthrough, thanks principally to two gimmicky hits: the sinuous "Like a Virgin," with its taboo-busting metaphor for that fresh, clean new-love feeling, and the cutesy, Betty-Boopsy "Material Girl." Most of the rest of the album, although similarly frothy, is superior to those warhorses, notably the irresistible LP tracks "Over and Over," and "Pretender"--which adds a bit of gossamer delicacy to the mandatory bounciness. "Dress You Up" is a Madonna classic, an insubstantial dance-pop delight bedecked in synthesized bells and replete to the beat with kinky suggestions. And there's a sign of greater depth to come in her cover of Rose Royce's elegiac ballad "Love Don't Live Here Anymore," a heartfelt vocal supported by a subtle, gorgeous arrangement helmed by producer Nile Rodgers and his two key Chic instrumental compatriots, Bernard Edwards and Tony Thompson. ![]() |

After running auCDtect (with frontend ver 1.2.2): Processing file: 1/1 [Madonna.-.Like.A.Virgin.[Japan.32XD-102].[1984].wav] This track is not an authentic CDA file! It has a lossy (mp3, mpc, vqf...) origin with probability 95% ![]() ??? |

KajJacob I can assure you, the CD is 100% original. I never bothered to check wuth auCDtect. Try checking separate tracks, or check audio spectrum. Try unpacking the iso.wv in winrar, and the converting wv file to wav. I suspect that auCD tect is reading extra bits of info, or you are doing something wrong.. ![]() |

yury_usa Most likely, it happens because the CD is quite old (23 years!) So, a lot of recordings were not up to the modern digital standards, peak levels are generally lowers, etc. That doesn't mean that is sounds worse, on the contrary I think it's as close to the origianal vinyl pressing, as CD could get ![]() |

Fu** auCDtect ![]() It is probably the worst shit published in years. If a reputed releseaer states it is an original CD, it has to be ![]() Besides, I have already said taht I have proved auCDtect WRONG many times. It is NOT a trusty programme, Enough said. The results of the "loose tracks" experiment are simply very funny ![]() ![]() ![]() |
