![]() Review (AMG) Burdened by all sorts of legal proceedings regarding the name Yes, Anderson-Brufod-Wakeman-Howe embarked on their one and only tour in 1989. It was billed as "An Evening of Yes Music Plus," which provided the title to this live set, and also embroiled the group in much of their legal battle. The CD here represents a live return to form for this lineup. They were essentially the Yes of old, while the "YesWest" lineup were off doing their more pop-oriented approach to music. This double disc really does hold up well, even as a Yes album. The recordings here are quite well-done and focus more on the prog side of the musical structures. The material chosen is based mostly on classic Yes material, but includes quite a few cuts that were featured on ABWH's studio release. The only major complaint on this disc is that Tony Levin (who performed on the studio CD and most of the tour) was ill during the recording of this show, and therefore not featured here. However, Jeff Berlin certainly does an admirable job of filling his shoes. 2007 release of the Yes splinter band's classic live presentation. Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe were 4/5ths of the 'classic Yes' line up of the 70's. Jon Anderson convinced his musical brothers to return to the musical ideals of Yes albums of the early to mid 1970s. The band recorded their eponymously titled album in 1989, then embarked on an extensive worldwide tour. This performance was recorded on the American leg of that tour. Selections performed included Yes classics like Starship Trooper, Heart Of The Sunrise, Close To The Edge and also And You And I. The film was briefly available on VHS before being deleted. This CD release features the original Roger Dean artwork and photo booklet along with new sleeve notes. You can now once again (or perhaps for the very first time) experience the splendour and majesty that was the ABWH tour. Как по мне, шикарный альбом ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ЗЫ у хешарных проходил немного другой релиз, 94го года с другим треклистом (там не было песни "I've Seen All Good People") |
