Sharp-edged fusion from the 80s Polish Jazz scene -- recorded in a style that's almost an extension of work from other European scenes of a decade before! The group is a trio that features keyboardist Wojciech Karolak, saxophonist Tomasz Szukalski, and drummer Czeslaw Bartowski -- all grooving in a way that's slightly jamming, but perhaps not as rock-oriented as other fusion combos of this nature. Karolak's keyboards really direct the sound of the set strongly -- and on some numbers he's using organ, but others feature a fair bit of synthesizer -- recorded in ways that sound a bit more 80s-esque than the overall construction of the tunes, almost with a few soundtrack influences at times. Titles include "State Train", "Anniversary Blue", "Double B", "Gem", "Trata Tata", and "Time Killers". © Dusty Groove America, Inc.
