SPOILER (EAC Log)

у нас также раздавался этот же диск от Audio Fidelity SACD (Steve Hoffman): Topic Link: Jimmy Reed - Jimmy Reed At Carnegie Hall (http://netlab.e2k.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=75075

SPOILER (back cover)

QUOTE (Steve Hoffman):
The MoFi Gold CD version of this album was cut with the Bell Sound EQ'd copy tape. This tape is essentially the same "sound" as the original master that was used for the Audio Fidelity SACD except for the fake stereo and a bass cut. This bass cut removed about 6 db of sound at 100 cycles.

Some people might like the "thin" sound of the MoFi version. It all depends on how your stereo is set up.

Personally, once I heard the long lost actual master (which we transferred flat to DSD and 16 bit for the AF SACD) the MoFi Bell Sound EQ dub version sounded just like what it was; a tape originally made to cut phonograph records in 1961. This shouldn't have been used to make a CD, Gold or otherwise.

Just my opinion of course.
