Review (Sendsible Sound)
Harpist Yolanda Kondonassis has made several excellent recordings for Telarc, but this new one may well be her finest achievement yet. Carlos Salzedo (1885-1961) was a master of the harp who excelled as a performer, composer, and teacher. Kondonassis has put this program together not only to highlight his work as a composer, but to honor his work as a teacher.

The end result is a delightful collection of music that dances, sings, and enchants. We tend to think of harp music as sentimental and cloying, but this recording carries us beyond those realms. This is music that stimulates more than it soothes. If I have one complaint about this program, it is simply that it is a bit short at 52 minutes. The music is so good that I would have enjoyed another 10 or 20 minutes. Still, the 52 minutes that are here are filled with musical delight.

Не ожидал, что звуки арфы могут быть настолько разносторонние. Музыка завораживает, заставляет задуматься.. :music:
