thanks to runo and other friends :)

The overall sound quality of the Terrapin release is excellent. There were complaints about the amount of hiss on the "RGF CD" disc, so Kerry Minnear and John Weathers remastered the disc to reduce the amount of hiss. The disc was then given the TRUCKCD number. The difference between the RGF and TRUCKCD discs is likely very small.
The One Way release appears to be of equally good quality.
I haven't heard the BGO, but some people say it's excellent and others say it's awful. On the good side, Matt Urban says it "has a slightly tighter, more defined sound" than the One Way. See also the Free Hand entry

is greatly overlooked for some reason. The title track is in the great GG tradition. Just listen to the piano in the instrumental before the "whispers" (it sounds like King Crimson's on Cat Food) - it's sheer brilliance. Give It Back is probably the most difficult to like. Design is of a great design of vocals and drums. Empty City is a very good GG as well as Timing. I Lost My Head is a real masterpiece, similar in structure to the In The Glass House title track. Interview and I Lost My Head are my favorites. It's their last great record and it will certainly satisfy the most discriminating and serious listener.

Here, Gentle Giant takes their classic sound into daring new territory, such as reggae. The tracks here range from the more accessible tracks which might have fit in well on _Free Hand_ (e.g. "Empty City" and "I Lost My Head") to experimental tracks that make for some difficult listening. This is not the masterpiece that _Free Hand_ and _The Power and the Glory_ were, but it is still good enough to rate five stars. Another Gentle Giant classic
