DRM - Haiku (2003)

user posted image

In a time when the European electronic scene seems to have reached the most expressive level of maturity, the need to unite this new language with the oldest one, the voice, is great, to represent the common and private insides of a restricted group of people. A band.

DRM are an electronic band as they would have been a grunge rock band in the 90's or a wave band in the 80's. Deeply attracted by minimal techno and micro house, DRM have made digital clearness and grooving the basis for their music building. Neverthless, DRM sound always speaks about an unfinished love for guitar uncertainty and bloody acoustic random in general. As the voice demonstrates, the problems sung in the album are: white, imperfect and normal
The DRM band was formed in 2002 by Marzio Aricò (electronics), Alessio Ghionzoli (guitar) and Federico Madeddu (voice and guitar). All the works has been composed, arranged and produced by these three and occasionally by other musician friends and by German pioneers To Rococo Rot and Italian minimalist Retina.it, two great collaborations that have given to the music of DRM an inspired and graceful contribution.

Haiku is delicate debute album that represents one of the results of a musical research driven by a generation of musicians who believe in electronic and have loved rock.

DRM are the Italian classicism in the poetry of European electronic music.
