Reissued 1972 album. Dating from 1972 'Bamboozle' was Dutch Blues Rockers Livin' Blues third LP and featured eight powerful cuts, including Lloyd Webber's, Tim Rice's 'Overture' which further established the band as an attraction on the European live circuit, Produced by Jaap Eggermont. Reviewer: Albert Goedhart from USA Livin Blues and Cuby + the Blizzards were the best Dutch blues bands of the late 60s and early 70s. Bamboozle is amongst Livin Blues best albums and were they have a more grown-up sound. The singer really stands out with his husky voice and the harmonica player is a real lust. L.B. Boogie is a real classic and easily stands in the shadow of John Mayall's Room to Move. It's a perfect CD to have on the road late at night and play full blast. You want an original and good blues record then this is your buy. The Russians were already loving them in the 70s. Reviewer: AJH van Lynden from Czech Republic The Dutch blues band Livin' Blues weren't just a bunch of imitators of either black bluesmen or - mostly - English white pop artists playing the blues, like John Mayall, Eric Clapton, Chicken Shack or Fleetwood Mac. Their music has a good deal of quality of its own and therefore it's still worthwile trying this! I bet you won't be disappointed! 1. L. B. Boogie (Christiansen/La Grand/Oberg) - 4:12 2. Sunrise (Oberg) - 2:37 3. Keep on (Christiansen/Oberg) - 3:17 4. Hitch-Hikin' (La Grand/Oberg/Uitvlught/Van Buuren) - 6:05 5. Bamboozle Song (Christiansen/Van Buuren) - 2:40 6. Overture (Rice/Webber) - 3:55 7. Black Night (Robinson) - 7:29 8. Big City Man (Christiansen/Oberg) - 3:46 Nicko Christiansen - Guitar, Saxophone, Vocals John Legrand - Harmonica Jonny Lejuene - Drums Ted Oberg - Guitar Ruud VanBuuren - Bass читаем дальше. |
