Comments: Catch your breath folks. When Foreigner reported back for another go; who would have expected them to succeed with such glance and inspiration?! To prove worthy, they laid down a Vegas show in front of an audience going insane, with a band driving them further towards the edge of sanity. Words are NOT enough!

True, this CD is like a 'best of' collection from one of the finest and longest running acts in the league. Needless to state? Perhaps ... But when Mick Jones gathers his troops for another battle, you can bet your ass he goes the whole nine yards in order to win a war. With his new and improved Foreigner, he has some of the finest marksmen available recruited, shooting up the place.

It is simply stunning to see a band as inspired as the 2005 edition of this fine rock establishment. Aside Tom Gimbel being his sidekick for quite a while already, Mick also brought in ex-Dokken bass player Jeff Pilson, Jason (son of) Bonham on the drums, Jeff Jacobs on keys and top marksman Kelly Hansen on vocals. It is especially the voice of Hansen that lights the spark almost instantly. His voice is reminiscent to that of Lou Gramm, yet he never sounds like copying the maestro. No, Kelly simply adds some more flavour to the performance. He has more of a punch to it, and sounds very inspired in his performance. A performance in which he takes along the entire band for a night to remember!

All the big guns are there, "Head Games,""Cold as Ice," "Urgent" and the amazing "Starrider." All come by with the most excellent of craftsmanship. Mick still proves to be a fine guitar player, firing his licks and solos with enthusiasm, backed by Gimbel. Bonham lays down a rocksolid groove doing justice to his inheritance, where Pilson blends in just nicely and lends his great voice for backing vocals. The keys are sometimes upfront in the mix without going over the top, like in "That was Yesterday." Hansen shines all over and his version of the tearjerker "I Want to Know What Love Is" has never sounded better before (that coming from a Gramm fan, that means a lot!). Inspired, close to the original and adding some depth and power. Foreigner balanced their 'all time' chartbuster set with a fine feeling for melancholy and the greatness of the discography.

It is simply 74 minutes of pure pleasure with a band shooting out of orbit. The short 'medley' of "Jukebox Heroes/Whole Lotta Love" is a tribute to Zeppelin and Foreigner themselves. Matching the greatness of their heydays, matching the absolute greatness of the ZEP ... how fine is that for the many fans out there?

The European (slipcase) version of this exciting recording comes with two bonus tracks; "That was Yesterday" and the amazing "Blue Morning," as well as an additional bonus disc featuring outtakes from the gig in DVD format and interview with Jones himself. This DVD also well worth your time and money, adds the latest chapter to the band long running career. It is a definite must have for fans of the band, as well as it is for many people hesitating to buy a 'best of' collection CD from tone of rock's finest acts ever, reclaiming their position in the top ranks of the league. RADIANT!
