NONESUCH RELEASES SONG X 20th ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Over the next year, Pat and Nonesuch will be rereleasing the Pat Metheny titles previously released on the Geffen and Warner Bros label. The first out of the box is SONG X. This year is the 20th Anniversary of the release of this landmark recording. It has been remixed and remastered and, as bonus, Pat has added 6 new tunes from that recording session that have never been released before! The new tracks add another layer to understanding the performances on this post-bop meeting of the harmolodic minds with jazz master Ornette Coleman. Entertainment Weekly had it as a pick this week.
