I may have heard an example of that tonight. SBS HD showed a movie El Greco at a decent video quality 1280x720p, at up to around 10Mbps. As usual, SBS teamed up the HD video with MP2 stereo at the low bitrate of 192kbps. I thought Id switch to analogue SBS TV for better sound as I had done successfully earlier in the weekend with Channel 7. However, I found the analogue SBS sound not as good as the low bitrate digital version...If SBSs digital video is in sync with their analogue audio, I suspect theyre now using purely digital distribution and feeding the analogue transmission from that on site. Were they in sync? And if not, did you use anything to delay the analogue audio? |
