Hi! Even I sometimes has to share only a normal share. In this case it is classical music with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, conducted by Erich Kunzel. Here he does a complete Howard Hanson, who was a well known composer in USA. He was made famous by the inclusion of parts of his "romantic" symphony in the end credits of the first "Alien", replacing the music Jerry Goldsmith wrote. Mr. Goldsmith might hate Ridley Scott for this but I always thought Hanson´s music fitting.

The recording here has perfect quality - sonically and artistically. Actually the conducting style of Mr. Kunzel fits Hanson´s music perfectly. The matter-of-fact-style adapts beautifully to Howard Hansons compositions. This is one of the most engaging discs I´ve ever heard. It carries the title "CD of the month" from the prestigious Gramophone Magazine.
