As she explains: "I give you my Rock and Roll....I give you my heart and soul....for the two can not be separated" Teaming up with Steve Grant and Andy Scott (The Sweet), and long time co-writer Mike Chapman who wrote the title track, this album is an emotional tour de force which truly rocks. ‘Back to the Drive, ‘Wasted Moments’, ‘Born making Noise’, and a excellent cover of Neil Young’s ‘Rockin In The Free World’ all showcase Suzi at her gutsy best, whilst a softer side is revealed through ballads such as ‘Sometimes Love Is Letting Go’ and ‘Free the Butterfly’. Not only in production has ‘Back To The Drive’ been a highly successful collaborative experience; Paul Jones joined on harmonica, original band member Len Tuckey added guitar and daughter Laura Tuckey sung the duet ‘I’ll walk through the fire with you’.
