SK’s best selling act is back with her third album. The first both lps showed us the mixture which has there origin more into electronic sounds but has never lost there massive influence from J.A.Z.Z. The main center of attention should be lay once again on the original song-writting. In combination with there experiences from long tours and live on stage they celebrate their own style. Singer Lisa Bassenger wrote all songs on the raod during the tour through whole Europe. "Normand" should transform that style of creating music to the public. A kind of "Gipsy life" was the original idea. The songs sound more organically. They describe the records as a "new acoustic movement". This is the first Micatone-production where all sounds were played live only without any beat-programs. They separate themselves a little bit from the current club-oriented (nu)jazz stuff. Call it "back to the roots" or "Whatever". The mix of jazz with pop-appeal is comfortable for every ear. New experiments are "Trouble Boy" with a low reggae-influence. The first single "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" could reach the step into the fastidiously mainstream radio shows. Micatone was and is a sure purchase and that won’t change. (Peter Hagen - couchsurfer.de)
