George Winston is a fantastic piano player and one of the best creators of "mood" music working today. Unfortunately, "Forest" just doesn't evoke much of a mood. At his best, Winston's music transcends the usual "background" music of your average new age artist. Unfortunately, that's what you get here, a lot of background music that just doesn't hold up when it moves to your brain's frontal lobe. Winston has produced many classic albums, from "Autumn" to "Summer." This just isn't one of them.
