Ariel Ramírez (*1921)Ариэль Рамирес родился в 1921 году в Санта Фе (Аргентина). Одновременно с учебой в Национальной консерватории Буенос Айрес по классу классической композиции, он занимался исследованием народной музыки и традиционных ритмов Южной Америки. После нескольких лет учебы в Мадриде, Риме и Вене (1950-1954), он вернулся в Аргентину, где собрал около 400 народных и популярных песен и основал Compañía de Folklore Ariel Ramírez. Одна из самых известных его композиций - Misa Criolla, месса для тенора, смешанного хора, перкуссии, фортепиано и народных инструментов, полностью основана на традиционных ритмах ( chacarera, carnavalito, estilo pampeano).
