What it means is that some discs from the uploaded GGOJC collection appear to be the first commercial CDs ever to display the hallmarks of mp3 compression even though they have not gone through such compression. However, it could also alternatively mean that they are indeed sourced from mp3, and as such not true lossless files. Anyone who claims that this kind of spectral analysis is ambiguous - or as someone said, that it does not mean a thing - and that commercial quality CDs recorded in 1969 and released in 2007 can have such neat haircuts and brickwall syndrome, are invited to disclose other commercial CDs where they have observed the same pattern. Talk is cheap if you don't substantiate your arguments. If you claim that mine are implausible, please feel free to offer an explanation as to why it should be so. |

By the way, peterpiano, where do you find your tagging information? You've coded this one as 1984.... |

You mean you don't check the tags when you use automatic lookups...?? How lazy can you get? Alright, a year is not the end of the world but freedb has wrong info on many tracks as well (not to mention spelling errors that can cause confusion for classical works). Checking is essential. |
