Thelma Houston - I've Got Music In Me [Sheffield Lab CD-2]


This is one of the most lasting and continually interesting albums ever made. Sheffield Labs, a mastering plant was the site of this
recording. For 2 days Thelma and a handful of top-notch studio musicians (Pressure Cooker) sang and played LIVE direct to a lacquer
master disc, non-stop, no mixing, no over-dubs, no edits. This prodigious effort is the most successful audiophile release of all time.
Upon it's release, "I've Got The Music In Me" sold over a quarter of a million copies exhausting the production capacity of the direct
disc. Being a direct to disc recording means even an unsophistacted ear can hear the dynamics and even some minor flubs in the band.
The lack of multiple tracks edited until close to perfection, is a welcome plus. This is a must have for any serious collector.

Thelma Houston - I've Got Music In Me [Sheffield Lab CD-2]

Part 3 is incorrect.

I check it again, but for me it works perfect...

Thelma Houston has around 300 dl's and this is the first complain i hear about...
Maybe you can try it again.

Maybe I did not express myself correctly.

The link in part 3 says:

It points to another file. There is NO part 3. It is the part3 of the first CD

Link is changed, sorry...

I get these error messages in winrar:

! F:\MUSIKK\Thelma_Houston_-_I_ve_Got_The_Music_In_Me__Sheffield_Lab_CD-2_.part2.rar: Invalid or corrupt authenticity information
! F:\MUSIKK\Thelma_Houston_-_I_ve_Got_The_Music_In_Me__Sheffield_Lab_CD-2_.part3.rar: Invalid or corrupt authenticity information

The files are extracted but the .cue file is invalid and don't work in any program.


It's the same for 2 albums, havent tried the first one... what I'm I doing wrong?

Problem number 1 ---> WinRAR authenticity information.

It is well known that practically all "pirated copies" of WinRAR have that problem when one chooses that option. It is an unimprtant option so:

.- Right-click any folder and choose (WinRAR icon)Add to file...

.- Leave the ticks you see (mine is Spanish but it does not matter, options are in the same place)



Then click the red box (Profiles) and save it as Default profile. All rars you make now will be always with that parameters

DO NOT tick the Authencity box.

Problem number 2 --> CUE not working.

Your version of EAC leaves one too many extension. The easiest way to solve this is to rename the file after EAC has finished.

REMEMBR THIS: to play the CD using the cue, the name of the file must MATCH exactly the name of the file.

For instance:

Your file ---> Thelma Houston - I've Got The Music In Me.wav.ape

The cue line ---> FILE "Thelma Houston - I've Got The Music In Me.wav" WAVE

The cue can never work because names DO NOT match!!!

The easiest way is to make the file always *.ape and make sure the cue is exactly the same:

File --> Thelma Houston - I've Got The Music In Me.ape

CUE ---> FILE "Thelma Houston - I've Got The Music In Me.ape" WAVE

..........::::::::::::::.................

Some people, like me, include 2 cue files: one for the APE file and one for the WAV file.

So the the cue with "wav" inside" can be played, the APE file must be converted to WAV first.

the next releases will be more easy for you to handle.

the artwork folder in "Lincoln Mayorga - The Missing Linc Vol.II" rar archive seems to be empty (Aaaarrrrggghhhh...)
Please, can you share front and back covers ? (same system or via emule, as you prefer)
