Dipper is the multi- collective of musicians led by Ugo de'Crescenzo, a Neapolitan Classical/jazz piano player and producer whose other musical aliases include renowned Nujazz producer Pilot Jazou. The central vocals accompanying Ugo are by Elena Colombo, a Milanese songstress classically trained as a jazz vocalist.

The Dipper project finds its roots in the repertoire of jazz standards and has now been licensed to MTV's Real World Austin, TX and Showtime's New Dramatic Comedy Series ‘Weeds’. Dipper wipes through the residue of benchmark jazz fusing it to the digital world of electronic music. The doors opened by time-honoured music give them a unique way to interpret sound, creating a soothing and artificial mood.


Dipper tackled the traditional jazz standard melodies of 'Gloomy Sunday' and 'My Funny Valentine' and used their bold avant-garde engineering to enhance the track into an Up-tempo jazz escape. While preserving the intimacy of the moody rhythms and embracing an ambitious range of musical genres, tastes, and tempos Dipper delivers an engaging program of sultry broken beats cascading into late-night Latin house, deep house and vintage dub. The final effect is polished off with the velvety vocals of Milanese siren, Elena Colombo. With careful crafting, Dipper have redesigned and rewoven jazz masterpieces into the fabric of contemporary music.
