22 year old musician and producer Christoffer Berg (aka nujazz / chilled house outfit Hird) hails from the same thriving Gothenburg, Sweden-based crossover electronic / jazz scene that’s brought forth fellow alumni such as Jonas Quant, Ernesto and Andreas ‘Swell Session’ Saag (who makes a guest appearance on ‘Moving On’), whilst also being affectionately tagged the ‘Gonkyburg’ scene by its residents. For his debut album ‘Moving On’ (released through Stockholm-based label Dealers Of Nordic Music / DNM), the multi-talented Berg has elected to both produce and perform most of the record’s instrumental parts himself, including percussion, keyboards, vocals and guitar, with the addition of several guest musicians, but has also thrown the vocal spotlight (and perhaps therefore the album’s centre) around Koop’s Yukimi Nagano, who contributes vocals to five out of the total nine tracks featured here.
