Btw, check your LZ IV for "Stairway" intro. Guitar should start on the left channel, like in WG Target.

А случайно нет для LZ I - Target'a или раннего японского пресса?

Т.к. не только Baby I'm gonna leave you - а, кажется, что и весь альбом перепутан.

Kleinervogel

For LZ I, there is only the one BD mastered CD version with the incorrect channels.

For LZ III and IV, there are both, correct and incorrect versions around.

For LZ III, the majority of the BD mastered CD's have the correct version (at least that was the result of a recent poll here).

For LZ IV, I really don't know which version is more common. Many of the early versions (like already mentioned) have the correct channels, but it seems like later versions at least from Germany have the incorrect channels, and there should be quite a few out there.

I know for sure that my disc has swapped channels. I never knew that up until a few days ago :)

and why the 'swap' of the channels?

They are good sounding, but bad pressings? :dunno:

Who knows? maybe the master tape might have had them in wrong order. Back in the 80s they didn't care about channels order. The best place to check if you have correct version is to compare with Page/Marino remasters

P.S I haven't said anything about sound. Barry Diament Zep CDs sound amazing, it's just that his LZI has swapped channels. And any of this mastering is usually very well done, either flat transfer or some eq applied to sound more natural. (e.g compare his ELP with Palamaccio's master tape masters)

P.P.S I've probably repeated myself twice or more already
