Хмм.. странно, надо будет его качнуть тогда :)

По-слухам, это просто копия EMI цд :(
QUOTE
I don't know what the story is behind the MMT rar file that is also listed as HDCD, since I didn't think FSL did that album. The artwork that comes with the file is just from the official cd.

QUOTE
It's just a rip of the official EMI cd. The run time is exactly the same, etc.

Shurup или OlCh, вы не в курсе?

I know for sure, AHDN was not HDCD encoded. I've read numerous messages about it.. take a look here: http://stevehoffman.tv/forums/archive/index.php/t-13098.html

AHDN was accidentally not encoded properly to HDCD. Don't let that make you believe that the sound is any worse or very different.

That's exactly what happened. They missed the binary flag on AHDN. You really can't tell the difference much in the sound....

The "A Hard Day's Night" CD is not encoded, however. From what I've been able to gather, even the "original" AHDN from FSL was not encoded, as something went wrong in production. That is not as unusual as it sounds, as I purchased a couple of "remastered" CDs by Laurence Juber that was were supposed to be HDCD encoded and one was not. When I e-mailed the company, they told me that they do not check their copies on an HDCD equipped player, they took the word of the mastering engineer. They also told me that they couldn't afford to repress, and I was offered my money back if I didn;t want the CD because it wasn't HDCD encoded. (I kept it BTW.)

With 24bits HDCD (20bits really) you can obtain more clearly and less "digital" sounding.

Unfortunately, I don't use Window Media Player.. But I remember discussing it about 4 years ago on RuVideo, and AHDN seemed not to be HDCD-encoded.. So If you have the same CD, I doubt anything had changed :drag:

As far as best sound, I prefer A Hard Day's Night (UK Stereo) Blue Box (Dr. Ebbetts) over this one :hi:

OK. I don't using WMP too.
Actually i'm using Foobar with KernelStreaming (Bit-Perfect) output. This is the REAL sound for PC.

I'm decoding this discs downed from here with HDCD Software Decoder and store in Flac the new fixed files.

BTW in some days i'm gonna try this Blue Box (Dr. Ebbetts).

Bye.

Use HDCD Software Decoder command line app to restore its 24bits.

You cannot restore 24 bits as there are only 20 encoded in HDCD

Actually i say that before: "With 24bits HDCD (20bits really)"...

You just read my others posts. Actually post #145.

But...the output files of the HDCD Software Decoder are in 24bits format...perhaps with full zeros in last 4 bits.
