The definitive recording sessions went on at Record Plain Studios in NYC from march to july 1975, 5 months during which the whole band was forced to spend all they could spend to get "the best record in rock n'roll history". There were hard time and good times and they recorded literally few dozen of songs, among which Bruce later would have chosen the 8 gems to be officially released. Now, 30 years later, most of the outtakes have already been released on a lot of bootlegs but this is the very first chance to get them not only accurate remastering process to provide the best possible anniversary rendition of them. To coplete the set, ten outtakes from The Wild The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle: some of them are instrumental and alternate versions, other ones are original and complete songs that had been left out from Tracks box in 1998. They form a linear path to shift Bruce and his writing from being dylanesque to a more theatrical form. To all of them, it's time to shine the light they deserve.
