German duo conformed by Rafael Milatz and David Rotter is the base that sustains Integral, another great discovery from the aural fishermen at Tympanik Audio, a label that definitively has their ears well sharpened catching top notch electronica acts and solidifying their name as a visionary label. Their first full length titled "Rise" constitutes another promissory delivery in the fantastic camp of IDM, spiced with intelligent constructions and fantastic vibration. After being working three consecutive years in the development of "Rise" the band found they had enough material to release at least three albums, so they started to gather songs to create a well balanced delivery. They did achieve this compromise as "Rise" constitutes a centred album that equally shares sonic sensibility and entertaining rhythmic factor, standing as a highly intelligent musical creation.

"Rise" appeals its name in what refers as sonic experience, an elevator for the senses and the spirit, this is music that calls the listener to take a proactive stance while listening and activate the wakening his subjective projections, inducing to travel without submitting previous notions, always provoking without forcing. Strongly evocative for the imaginary and sonically suggestive in every second, almost like a soothing balm of exotic quality that induces an hypnotic relaxation that makes us leave the conscious realm. Its continuous progression stands as a challenge that needs to be fulfilled for the listener, a never ending wishing well of sonic delicacies. Another distinctive characteristic of this album it’s his kind of astronautic quality. Galactic, infinitely spacey, as our own subconscious intricacies or the remote contours of our ignote universe, strange places of oniric/sci-fi character predominates while listening this and certainly fuels our wish for more.

The first song "Digital drops" immediately delivers us a quick panorama of the band’s future capacity during the whole course of the songs. An eerie aquatic rhythmology, with tiny to grandiose beat structuring in which the listener starts to profoundly navigate in these mercurial, alien, but sonically soothing cadence. The rhythms that constitute most of the songs comes in waves of multiple beats chopped in that gives this sensation of constant dynamism while the pads transgress the vortex of our dimensional space-time continuum with their sophisticated atmospherics, equally pleasant and intriguing. Pairing these two qualities is what makes Integral especial, their ability to blend intrigue and expectancy while retaining this relaxing complacency that never exasperates the listener but induce him to keep diving into the music. There are indications on the methodical dedication for the composition as well as a meticulous interest in the detail, the compromise with harmonics and melody above noise or out of hand textures, everything sounds in place. The songs are predominantly rhythmical and probably constructed starting from there, from micro beat, to magnum pulses and beeps creating a whole of pondered rhythms that concentrate and disperse in curtains of exotic and sublime atmospheres. Their rhythmic sequences sounds so utterly natural and organic, never abrupt or cutting the motion from the sonic cadence. This rhythmic evolution is gotten with the peaceful logic that comes from downtempo (allowing the listener to reach higher standards of vibration through its more peaceful cadence) and the fusion with ambient, so in a way this is a very ambientalistic work with a fierce concentration on rhythms in a very intelligent and reflexive sort of way. The atmospheres on the other side are spacious and sidereal, making you to lose your mind into them while retaining your body through the incessant progression of beats, smart coupling that is, and constitutes an ace. Last song marks a sonic dissidence, the music translates into an acoustic Spanish guitar piece that gets closer to guitar droning with a subtle inclusion of echo, this effect gives this outsider tonality to the song, surreal and eerie, but still calmed, retaining the mood from the entire work.

Extremely futuristic and radiant, Integral "Rise" comes not as a purveyor within the confines of IDM but their incidence on ritualization via organic rhythms, utterly suggestive landscapes, with their oniric-space induced fantastic constructions and their downtempo and ambientalistic addendums certainly leads them to become legal heir of the new school of IDM. A balsam for the senses and invigorating aural elixir for the imagination. ~ by Jack The Ripper
