This live disc is a very good chronicle of a classic hard rock band who were very nearly at the top of their game. Granted, the concert that is chronicled here took place very early in their career, and many of their glory songs had yet to be written, let alone recorded. Still, the band's performance and the quality of the material showed that this was a group of musicians who were really deserving of bigger and better things. Don't expect to find such classics as "Hair of the Dog" or "Love Hurts," but you will find some great rock songs from one of the finest hard rock acts to emerge in the 1970s. |
