George Bellas.

Essentially founded as a vehicle for UFO lynchpins vocalist Phil Mogg and bassist PETE WAY to pursue music following the collapse (due to guitarist Michael Schenker throwing in the towel yet again) of UFO's massively successful 1995 American tour. It is widely reported that the inaugural MOGG/WAY album was fully intended to be another incarnation of UFO. However, unable to use the name UFO due to contractual reasons Mogg and Way opted to use their surnames and stride forward. Mogg had remained since the late sixties as the central lynchpin of UFO. Way, another UFO founder member, had remained steadfast too until 1982 when he opted out journeying through FASTWAY, OZZY OSBOURNE's band and the anarchic WAYSTED. The two reunited in a revitalized UFO during the late 80's.
The duo were offered the services of young American guitarist GEORGE BELLAS for the album. Bellas was to issue a solo album 'Turn Of The Millenium' the same year the MOGG/WAY debut emerged.
The group was rounded out by drummer Aynsley Dunbar, whose reputation harks back to band's such as JETHRO TULL, RETALIATION, OZZY OSBOURNE, JEFFERSON STARSHIP and the formative years of JOURNEY. The resulting album featured a re-working of UFO's 'Mother Mary'. Having kissed and made up with Michael Schenker once more UFO would reform once more in late 1997 with Simon Wright on drums and undertake exhaustive touring throughout Europe well into early 1998.
