You can rely on my Dutch faves of GOD DETHRONED. Also their new album "Into The Lungs Of Hell" has turned out to be a genre hightlight, just like the 5 previous ones (incl. "The Ancient Ones" with the demos). Surprisingly GOD DETHRONED have grown a lot in terms of songwriting. The groovy breaks are very well placed and invite you to bang your head all the time.
But also the heavier passages show accessibility and lots of ideas. The hammer-hard sound, recorded in Swedish Berno Studio, is more than perfect for the extreme direction of the album. Nowadays GOD DETHRONED don't emphasis thrashing and blasting, but also utilize mid tempo, like in the arse tight title track. A song like "Soul Sweeper" even has hit potential, because this hypnotic chorus burns right into your long term memory. All songs hit the twelve and have the certain something!

Even though I prefer "Bloody Blasphemy" to this one, I have to admit that our Dutch friends are pretty close to perfection. You hardly can celebrate modern Death Metal any way better. GOD DETHRONED always have been genre leaders and will continue to be in the future! Everything that is yet to come will have to live up to them...
