"Buried in time is the 6th album of the Italian cult band MORTUARY DRAPE. Existing for over fifteen years, the band went through severe line-up changes in its career, but the latest members settlement was rather drastic since their previous studio offering ("Tolling 13 Knell"), and again only the founding member Wildness Perversion (vocals) is left in the roster.
The new members inputs for the new album have been rather remarkable: many of the band's old time fans will recognise a completely renewed sound and song writing.
The technical, catchy although wicked, guitar riffing of the double axes Seeker of the Unknow and Cruel Abbot are the highlight of this album, boosted up by a rhythm section that we really never-heard-before on a M.D. album (War Machine Helgast - drums / Arcane of Veiled Light - bass).
At last for this sixth album the band finally managed to record in a very professional studio (AlphaOmega, probably italian best studio to record extreme metal in Italy) and the result is undoubtly awesome: "Buried in Time" growls as a beast although keeping a crystal-clear depth.
Not enough, internationally rewarded visual artist GRAAL (Behemoth, Astarte and hundreds more) took care of the whole artwork job, giving to the album a really gravy and occult dressing.
After 2001's controversial "Tolling 13 Knell", MORTUARY DRAPE is definitely back with a vengeance!"
