Led Zeppelin's fourth album, Black Sabbath's Paranoid, and Deep Purple's Machine Head stand as the Holy Trinity of English hard rock. These recordings provide the blueprint followed by virtually every heavy rock & roll band since the mid-'70s. Though probably the least celebrated of the three, Machine Head contains the mother of all guitar riffs in "Smoke on the Water," a song that needs no further explanation. The album also features the classic "Highway Star," which epitomizes all of Deep Purple's intensity and versatility, while featuring perhaps the greatest soloing duel ever between guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and organist Jon Lord. Also in top form is singer Ian Gillan (simply one of the finest singers of his generation, bar none), who explodes with amazing power and range throughout. Gillan lets the band take over on the largely instrumental "Lazy," which would evolve into an incredible live jam. The plodding shuffle of "Maybe I'm a Leo" shows some signs of age, but "Pictures of Home" and "Never Before" remain vital, displaying Purple at their melodic best. Another tremendous Blackmore riff drives the marvelous "Space Truckin'," a fitting end to one of the essential hard-rock albums of all time.

Имел обычный CD "Machine Head", купленный в 1996.
Имел попытку купить 25th Anniversary Edition.
Не смог, не нашёл.
В результате получил ещё три варианта диска:
1. Remaster 1997
2. Remix 1997
3. Первый слой с SACD 2003

SACD проигрывается только проигрывателями, которые умеют их играть. Но в данном случае выложен сграбленный CDDA слой гибридного SACD. А он точно такой же, как и любой другой стандартный CDDA. :)

Сграбленный нет, наверное. Да и смысла-то в этом? А вот захваченный с выхода плеера и зажатый DTS'ом - вполне. А можно и не зажатый, а авторенный в виде DVD-A - их-то, в отличие от SACD, можно писать компьютерными резаками на болванки. :)

Сорри за продолжение оффтопа , но раз уж тут эта тема поднялась , то имею желание спросить - Зачем в таком случае люди пишут в названии SACD , тем самым ставя ударение на этом , если в сущности это обычный CDDA и даже не ремастеринг ??? Или я ошибаюсь и качество всё равно лучше ???

SACD это всегда новый ремастер, потому как для него применяют DSD процесс. а получается не всегда и лучше, например етот ремастер мне не нравится :(

Не, мне нравится больше 25th Anniversary Edition,
к тому же там ещё и Remix вариант!
А больше всего мне нравился вариант на ленте 10 типа, на 9-ой скорости,
на переносном магнитофоне "Романтика", где-нибудь на берегу речки Базаиха,
но в 15 лет. :D

Otherwise, the clarity is there. Vocals, when they are allowed to be isolated to a channel (center) are clear and perfect. The drums, guitars, bass, and keyboards are brought out and shine in their sonic clarity. The real surround winner here is "Smoke on the Water". In short, this release, while not a reference release, particularly as it stands out next to very recent releases, is certainly not a negligible one.
The Stereo mix is definitely the best way to listen to this release. It's remixed into 96kHz/24-bit resolution and from the original stereo masters. And it represents the purity of this magnificent album. Sonics here are well defined with the high resolution mix getting the best treatment of this DVD-Audio. Of course, to play at this level of clarity requires that you have DVD-Audio capability. To hear the breakneck speed of Blackmore's lead in "Highway Star" at the level you do here is amazing as is every other track. "Maybe I'm a Leo" and its lead tracks really take on depth. The vocals are incredible on "Never Before". This Stereo mix creates a 'better than you remember' feel and is the real deal. Quite frankly, you've never heard "Smoke on the Water" like this. The ending to this song takes on a new life.
The extra bonus is the addition of an original B-Side to "Never Before", "When a Blind Man Cries". This slow bluesy ballad is a nice inclusion adding to an already packed release. |

Я где-то читал, что у Металлики, звук очень крутой, по этому и заказал её, если зашиты не будет, то раздам, если найдётся желающии :)
докладаю по DP MH SACD :
SACD multi-channel - семь треков по существу квадро 2+2 со слабовыраженым басом, т.е. 4/1. 8-9-10 треки полноценные 5/1. всё - с СУУУУУПЕРНЫМ звучанием :music: :music: :music: :wub:

Или невидно? В Ямахе, вроде как, и не увидишь без монитора.
Есть только индикация на самом плейере - светодиодик SACD горит.
Я до этих разборок не обращал внимания, что на SACD слое есть два звука -
мультиченел или 2 ch. У меня, по дефолту, мультиченел играл.
Если заполучу DP MH SACD поиграюсь: там меню посложнее, там виднее будет. :)

дык ещё под цифирками горит ml.ch d.mix
а менju одинаковое с TDSOTM, например. ничего другого быть не может :D

Точно! При стерео этого нет.
А ещё при смене звука ненадолго появляется на передней панели строка:
SA-CD 2 или SA-CD 6. Но менять звуки без меню я бы не смог,
и с "монитором" (в моём случае - ТВ) тяжело получается браузить. :)
главное тренировка, я уже в тёмную и стерео с мультиченелом, и SACD с CD переключаю :rolleyes:
