Thanks to my friend alebergen and YDM Group :punk:
These Finns play in a completely different league. They are Metal, but there are no guitars, not vocals, only four cellos, a little percussion and grandiose compositions!
They once had started out, solely equipped with METALLICA-cover-versions, to conquer the Metal-world, "Cult" features only three covers, Edvard Grieg's "Hall Of The Mountain King" (adapted by SAVATAGE on the eponymous album and at least cited by 25.742 other bands, here in a hyperbrilliant version!), and "Until It Sleeps" and "Fight With Fire" by METALLICA, the rest are originals!
There are works that could be handed over to a real Metal-band ("Path" or the almost brutal Speed-Cello-opus "Hyperventilation"), balladesque-elegic stuff ("Romance", "In Memoriam") or the two absolute masterpieces "Beyond Time", which is incredibly emotional and intensive and "Kaamos", which starts out calm, but then explodes into a grandiose and variable journey through the world of APOCALYPTICA.
APOCALYPTICA are something that would have to be created, if they did not already exist. APOCALYPTICA are more than music, they are art. APOCALYPTICA are not only a quartet, they are cult! APOCALYPTICA are - APOCALYPTICA, nuff said...
