Well, talk about quality Melodic Power Metal! From Hannover, Germany comes this quintet with their follow-up to their debut album "Legends From Now And Nevermore", which I regretably never heard! The band was founded by singer Carsten Frank, bassist Dirk Zelmer, and drummer Arnd Lorenz, who found the perfect guitar tandem with Kai Muhlenbruch and Norbert Geiseler. Here and there the music gets a faint Folky touch through the addition of violin (keyboard generated?). There's also a faint Death Metal touch with growled backing vocals in a couple of the 11 songs, but overall one can say that the songs are anthemic enough to label 'em Epic. There's an additional Speed element in the pace of the tunes, which is almost constantly high and driven, but occasionally disrupted by a calmer passage! Vocally, Carsten has the usual high-pitched style as per usual with the Teutonic bands of this kind, and he gets some nice harmony backing vocals every now and again. There's no keyboard player indicated, although the instrument is played in séveral songs (again, I suspect the violins to be keyboard generated as well)! Personally, I feel the guitarists ar a bit tóó much stressed on their speed, and forget to include enough and catchy melodies, and a bit more restraint here and there would've done wónders! Then again, that's a personal viewpoint, and I invite all Power Metal fans to go and have a listen of the album at their local record store...and then decide for themselves!
