Who better than L.A.'s tattooed bad boys Motley Crue to represent the sordid but compelling brew of sex, drugs, and debauchery that personifies VH-1's Behind the Music? In a tale told (in 2000) through interviews, film clips, and, of course, really loud music, the four Cruemen (Vince Neil, Tommy Lee, Nikki Sixx, and Mick Mars, who nowadays looks like a denizen of the planet he's named after) travel the familiar road from runaway success to a drug-and-alcohol-fueled crash and burn, only to come back sober and strong, ready to tell the world just how f***ed up (the show's censored, too) it all was. Only this time it's even juicier, what with Neil's vehicular manslaughter conviction and Lee's many merry misadventures with Pamela Anderson. Throw in a music video (for "Enslaved") and some other minor extras, and you've got a guilty pleasure that virtually parodies itself.
