Review:
Right now i think the best way to describe H-Blockx generaly is a bit of genius with a splash of absolutely amazingness and a good dollop of poke-you-in-the-eye-with-a-sharp-stick-sit-up-and-take-notice !!! This album has it all really from good solid rock/metal riffs to rapcore, a sprinkle of funky baselines, some electric stuff and even some "sugar metal" (a kind of pop/metal hybrid genre) as the Radish frontman would call it. I have to confess that i didn't like their other albums, "Fly Eyes" and "Bang Boom Bang", as much as this one but "Discover Your Soul" is deffinately worth buying. The single biggest problem with most albums is that to spite the bands best efforts they still end up making the whole thing based around a single idea and no matter how good that idea is, do you realy want to hear 12 songs that are all basicaly the same? Sometimes the material is good enough to get you through, but more often it leaves you feeling like giving up half way into it. That is why i can safely say that this rocks because of the variety of styles on it. Although the vocals do tell you its H-Blocks the music behind them manages to add enough diversity to keep you locked in all the way. Don't really have much else to say other than, YOU NEED THIS ALBUM MORE THAN OXYGEN, BLOOD, WATER, AND EVEN TELEVISION !!!!
2nd album of German crossover band H-Blockx, once again great one!
Enjoy :punk:
