Review:
Oy, now that's a surprise! The last album of Portuguese TARANTULA, "Light Beyond The Dark", had been rather mediocre, but "Dream Maker" marks a huge step forward for them!
Their fifth album to date starts with the title-track and straight Melodic Metal with good guitarwork and very good vocals - excellent start. And after that they also move between mid-tempo and straight double-bass-numbers with very good choruses, accessible, but never shallow.
Apart from the already mentioned title-track you should check out "You Can Always Touch The Sky" (with a great riff in the chorus), the double-bass-cracker "Never Surrender" (dedicated to the people of East Timor) or "Changes Coming" to get your own picture of the qualities of the Lusitans.
Who's into Melodic Metal will get a very good album, which additionally is crowned with a very good cover-artwork!
Track List:
Dream Maker
You Can Always Touch The Sky
Never Surrender
Changes Coming
Winds Of No Return
And The Sun Will Rise Again
Our Destiny
Where Will You Run To?
The Nature Of Sin
A New Horizon
To Feel The Light
