Fasten your seatbelts; Christian Rivel (Narnia) is back with a new Divinefire album. Together with multi-instrumentalist Jani Stefanovic and bassist Andreas Olsson they are about to release their third work called 'Into A New Dimension'. This title hits the nail on the right spot; this new release takes their music into a new dimension. Everything got faster and faster than their previous records and above all, it got so much aggressive and brutal this time. With 42 minutes this album seems so short of playing time but I guess because of the speed of all those fine compositions that's why the end of the record is reach so soon.
Their music is very classical influenced; Mozart would turn his back in his grave when he heard how fast music could be these days. But all is so well thought of, listening to this album brings you a lot of musical surprises. There are so many changes of speed and moods; they seem to be countless but oh so cleaver thought of. I especially enjoy the growls of guitarist Jani at the proper occasions. The band aims at the goal of reaching especially fans of bands like Children Of Bodom, In Flames, Rhapsody, Sympony X and Malmsteen. Should it be up to me I can only agree totally when the band mentions those bands and their listeners as potential clients of the music of Divinefire. This is one killer of an album.
