'Runnin' Down A Dream' Chronicles The Early Years Of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers
Runnin' Down A DreamThe remarkable early years of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and all that would follow are at the center of a new documentary by legendary director Peter Boganovich (The Last Picture Show) entitled Runnin' Down A Dream.
The film focuses not only on the Heartbreakers' inspiring ride to the top but the story of what they did when they got there, as artists, as a band and as people. Bogdanovich's film explores many of the underlying reasons for the band's unmatched capacity not only to endure but to thrive. Gritty, exuberant, infectious: Runnin' Down A Dream tells the Heartbreakers' story as never before, revealing the combination of unwavering talent, artistic vision, and sheer persistence that has made their thirty-plus year run possible.
In addition to tracking the Heartbreakers over their decades together, Runnin' Down A Dream also follows Tom Petty's solo adventures and his time as a Traveling Wilbury alongside George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne and Roy Orbison.
A celebration of what can happen when artists are given the chance to explore the depths of their own talent, Runnin' Down A Dream is the story of an artistic victory unlike any other.
Runnin' Down A Dream has been selected to close the 2007 New York Film Festival at the legendary Walter Reade theater on October 14 and will show in select theaters nationwide for one night only on October 15. The screening markets are listed below.
The film will be shown on the Sundance Channel beginning with an uncut screening of the entire 4 hour film on October 29 at 7pm and Best Buy will exclusively sell the movie on DVD as part of a 4-disc box set beginning October 16.
The box set contains:
- 2 DVD, four hour Director's cut of Runnin' Down A Dream. Includes Eddie Vedder, Rick Rubin, Roger McGuinn, Dave Grohl, Johnny Depp, Jeff Lynne, Stevie Nicks, Jackson Browne, and more.
- 1 DVD of the emotional 30th Anniversary Concert in Heartbreaker hometown, Gainesville, Florida
- 1 CD of recordings and rarities drawn from the film, several never before released.
Also coming in October from Chronicle Books, Runnin' Down A Dream - The Book. Coffee table style, 240 pages, full color. Includes hundreds of photos and materials from the Heartbreakers' personal archives plus interviews.

я хотел послушать и посмотреть музыку этой группы, вместо этого я получил пособие по изучению английского языка. я извиняюсь, но может я чего не понимаю, но здесь нет не одной песни без прерываний. может кто-то любит когда каждая песня прерывается болтавней , но назвать этот диск великолепным? немножко сбивает с толку

I hope everyone that took this, liked the set. The Live concert dvd I thought was very nice and the movie (if you understand english) is nice also. :)
