CKOD One of the most important Polish rock groups of the young generation. Their debut album earned them enthusiastic reviews from fans and journalists for the originality of music and captivating lyrics, describing the emptiness of "Generation Nothing" experience. Soon Cool Kids of Death become "The rebellious voice of Polish twentysomethings". First internationally available CKOD album (all lyrics in English) was released in Germany by BMG Deutschland in 2004, only to be reissued a year later in Japan by Vinyl Junkie Recordings as a 2 CD set and top the HMV "punk/hardcore" sales list. The band makes frequent appearance in Europe, especially Germany (four tours, Berlinova and Bayerische Rundfunk festivals) and UK (two tours, support for Iggy Pop & The Stooges at Hammersmith Apollo). In summer 2005 the band goes into studio in Hamburg to record new material with a German producer - Tobias Levin. The third album, titled "2006" is met with critical acclaim, but it’s also the last one released by SonyBMG. In 2007 the band goes independent and starts working on a new album, to be released in April 2008. CKOD starred in a full-length documentary about their phenomenon (Generacja CKOD) and licensed a few tracks for film soundtracks. Two nominations for MTV European Awards 2003 and EMA 2007 and three nominations for the Polish Music Prize - Fryderyki (New Face 2002, Alternative Album of the year 2002 and 2003) haven’t changed their alternative outlook on the rat race in the least.
