Gator Country is an American Southern rock band formed in Davie, Florida in 2005 by several founding members of the Southern rock group Molly Hatchet. The band, founded by vocalist Jimmy Farrar, gutarist Duane Roland, drummer Bruce Crump, guitarist Steve Holland, and bassist Riff West took its name from the title of the hit song "Gator Country".
In 2006 Gator Country, led by vocalist Jimmy Farrar, continue to perform popular songs such as "Beatin' The Odds", "Bounty Hunter" as well as "Oh Atlanta".

"Playing live is the perfect element for these Florida kings of bombast, and from the introduction of the band and the first song, "Bounty Hunter," you know to grab something and hold on tight. It’s going to be one wild ass ride."

Who ever the fuc**** soul sold the Molly Hatchet rights to Bobby Ingram, he not only killed the molly hatchet sound drastically but also killed the millions of Southern Souls. IMO, the new lineup of MH doesn't really deserve to be called as Molly Hatchet. :diablo:

As You can see the lineup of the Gator Country, it has the core group members from the original era of Molly Hatchet and not only that, they played the southern rock the way it should be and the way we know how Molly Hatchet sounded in the 70's. Sadly the original member Duane Roland, who formed this band was passed away. He was replaced with Paul Chapman, the Former axeman of UFO. This is really ass kicking Southern Rock and I wholeheartedly recommend this little gem to every heavy southern freak. :band:
