Arkestra One (E.S.L. - 2002) On their self titled debut, London born Finn Matthew Timoney gives us a conglomerate of jazz, latin, soul, funk and ambient, not as a reproduction but as ingredients in Arkestra's distinctive sound. This sound is rich in arrangement, smoothly layered and seductive no matter if you are a jazzhead, soul man, or downtempo guru or are just in search of good music (and good titles). Brazilian chantuese Nina Miranda, who has worked with Bebel Gilberto, and Les Gammas to name a few, adds her sultry voice to the record.
