Это да - ассоциации с Chris Rea действительно присуствуют , хотя также можно упоминуть и Mark Knopfler и Red Hot Chili Peppers и Neville Brothers и даже White Stripes. IMHO самый тониджовайтовский и одновременно самый нетипичный для TJW - это акустический "The Beginning". Экстракт из TJW или "this is the sound of the night, where the bullfrogs, snakes, hungry gators, broken dreamers, haunted desperadoes, lonesome travelers, and wild-eyed seekers of the unspeakable all come together in one man's musical dreams to speak". Лучше всего начать с него - не подойдёт - значит нет надобности на TJW траффик переводить.

| Напоминает в 95-м и, пожалуй, все. Самый лучший (ИМХО) диск. Также хорош, и даже очень, 99-й. А вот два других мне совсем не нравятся - особенно Snakey. Если не ошибаюсь, и звук там очень корявый, местами просто несведенный и монообразный - очевидно так было задуманно. |

| Да - в 1999-ом с One Hot July закончился рок-блюзовый TJW (1991-Closer To the Truth, 1993 - The Path Of Decent Groove, 1995 - Lake Placid Blues , 1999 - One Hot July - вот откуда эти алюзии насчёт Chris Rea). С 2000-го пошла другая музыка - немного rock, больше country и много folk. Лучше или хуже стал TJW - дело вкуса, но то что он другой - это точно.. |
