Genre: Electro-Ambient Style: Avant-garde/Ambient Pop/Indie-Electronica Label: K-Scope Total Time: 47:11 Grabber: EAC v0.95 pb5 Codec: Mokeys Audio v3.99 Compression: Eac -> APE -> Cue -> Log Size: 242.30 MB Extras: Covers, Cue, Log 'Together We're Stranger' - the fifteenth album (besides the thirteen EPs and singles) to come out of the array of British projects formed around the ingenious musician Steve Wilson - is breathtaking. For approximately sixteen years, as his progressive rock band Porcupine Tree gathered worldwide attention, Wilson has worked continuously on its side project (originally called No Man Is An Island (Except The Isle Of Man), but soon shortened to No-Man) which he and singer Tim Bowness brought into being and have brought forwards likewise for many years. Wilson - a highly-talented multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer - can already display experience in avant-garde and industrial music as well as psychedelic and progressive rock. Together with a considerable, changing list of collaborating artists (including Muslimgauze, among others) Wilson and Bowness create intelligent, avant-garde, up-to-date yet timeless pop pearls with epic orchestral flair. No-Man stands for a fascinating sound mixture, with musical elements of hip-hop, dub, jazz and prog skilfully mixed with dance elements. However, the current work 'Together We're Stranger' is simpler and more direct, though nevertheless possessing an unusual density. The use of guitars, space-bass, clarinets, trumpet and harmonium - as well as percussion and noise elements - produces a reassuring, atmospheric sound carpet. Spacey electronic sounds transform into beautiful acoustic passages. Tim Bowness' unobtrusive, sensitive voice complements these melodies perfectly and obtains the feeling of melancholy and thoughtfulness, (without, however, working to put it on). Unfortunately, after approximately forty-seven minutes, this acoustic dream journey is over and past much too quickly. Whoever would like to escape, if only for a while, from everyday life will surely find that gold lies in this CD, because 'Together We're Stranger' will charm them. A perfect chill-out album: not just for friends of Porcupine Tree, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield or Moby. Outside in the snow, meanwhile, nothing more is to be seen... only the sun... У меня есть Flowermix, Returning Jesus и Flowermouth. Могу зарелизить если надо. Returning Jesus это вообще шедевр. Кстати у SpeedTouch имеются другие альбомы этого замечательного проекта ? |
