Reviews from Amazon.com:

Still good! A little lamer than Halfbreed or Overdog, but most things are! This album has some good stuff. Miller Anderson is (was) one of the best vocalists out there. The absence of Spit James is felt. His guitar is missing here. Miller can play, but Spit can sizzle (that doesn't sound right!). I questions some of the chosen tracks, but what the heck, there is enough good stuff here to justify the purchase.

Miller Anderson's vocals are outstanding. Steady rythem from Hartley and Thain under some nice edgy guitar licks from Spit James and Anderson. Excellent keyboards and brass accents (flugel horns sound great). A combination of Blues, Rock and Jazz with emphasis on Blues and Rock. There is even a mellow side which explores Anderson's vocal range on "Don't give up". The flute part in "Hickory" reminds me a little of Tower of Power's "Sparking in the Sand". If you like John Mayall, you'll probably like this too.

Keef Hartley and John Mayall were seminal to British rock... "The Battle of NW 6" by Keef Hartley was an important album for me in my high school days ('70-'72). Hartley was a drummer with John Mayall before going out on his own with a bassist, guitarist and horn section. The sound is very original, bluesy. It spoke to me and I've been looking for the music ever since I got poor and had to sell my record collection when I was in college. Now that I've found it, it's out of print...ah, well, so it goes.

Tracks:
1. The Dansette Kid / Hartley Jam for Bread (Hewitson, James, Hartley, Thain) - 3:59
2. Don't Give Up (Hewitson, James, Hartley, Thain) - 4:07
3. Me and My Woman (Barge) - 4:24
4. Hickory (Hewitson, James, Hartley, Thain) - 2:45
5. Don't Be Afraid (Hewitson, James, Hartley, Dines, Thain) - 4:25
6. Not Foolish, Not Wise (Hewitson, James, Hartley, Thain) - 3:56
7. Waiting Around (Hewitson, Hartley, Thain) - 2:29
8. Tadpole (Hewitson, Hartley, Thain) - 7:00
9. Poor Mabel (You're Just Like Me) (Hewitson, James, Hartley, Thain) - 3:08
10. Believe In You (Hewitson, Hartley, Thain) - 5:23

Enjoy!
