один из немногих "неохваченных" около-Хипов альбомов ![]() |

Thanks to my friends ![]() The album was recorded in concert in May 2000 and features 3 ex-Uriah Heep members: keyboardist/guitarist Ken Hensley, singer John Lawton, and bassist Paul Newton. Heep Heaven, December 16, 2004 Reviewer: Todd E. Carper (Edgewood, Md United States) This is a masterpiece that is very hard to find. The bonus for me is it includes 2 of my favorite musicians in one project. A majority of the material is Uriah Heep, spanning the bands illustrious career. John was the Front man in the late 1970's and Ken was the genius behind the music. The playing is spectacular, the sound even better. John sings his heart out and Ken plays and sings really to perfection. The players seem to be enjoying themselves to no end which makes this even more worth having. Best moments are Gypsy and July Morning with breath taking harmony work between John and Ken. My feeling is the 2 are made to work together and should again soon; their voices mesh so well. Plenty of spotlight for all involved. My only reason for not making this a 5 star recording? Well, a little too much banter for my tastes, though it could be argued that is what illustrates the band connecting and being at home with the audience. The other negative for me was no Circle of Hands (my personal favorite Heep tune) or Feelings (my favorite collaboration between John and Ken). An absolutely magic moment if you can find it, grab this disc and play it often, and you will get to enjoy 2 genius musicians at work! 1. Introduction 2. Its Up To You 3. Stealin 4. Im Alive 5. The Return 6. The Wizard 7. July Morning 8. Kens Dialogue 9. I Close My Eyes 10. Guard Your Heart 11. Easy Livin 12. Lady In Black 13. Wise Man 14. Free N Easy 15. Gypsy |
