Label: fante records Country: Germany Ensemble Du Verre: Sonke Duwer - drums, programming Claas Uberschar - trumpet Daniel Cordes - double bass After their success with the last album "facing, transparent" and their tour with Bugge Wesseltoft, Ensemble Du Verre now make a great leap forward. For on their new release "Sing Me Something" drummer Sönke Düwer with his Ensemble centers the human voice. But the album is definitely not an album by a drummer who structures voices and vocals around his drumming. "Sing Me Something" is a jazz album and yet no jazz album, a song CD and yet no song CD - there's no adequate cliche; to describe his music. The CD seems more like a journey with a departure and an arrival, the last track sounding like the itinerary of the next journey. Duwer was able to persuade the guest vocalists Sidsel Endresen, Torun Eriksen and Ursula Rucker - names already known in the jazz compatible vocal world. But with Platnum, Michael Schiefel, Britta-Ann Flechsenhar and Ute Lorenzen there are also four newcomer on the album. Bugge Wesseltoft - head of the Norwegian jazz-scene - tops off the album with his remix of the song "Annalizer". by soul seduction Tracklisting: 1. Phonetic (feat. Sidsel Endresen) 2. Poetry (feat.
