Box 1 Jimi Hendrix - Sessions (4 Discs) Artwork (Covers, Disc, ...) and Cue/Log's: Jimi Hendrix - Sessions Box Set (1-2, Artwork, Cue, Log).rar Disc 1: Are You Experienced? AMG Review AMG REVIEW: One of the most stunning debuts in rock history, and one of the definitive albums of the psychedelic era. On Are You Experienced?, Jimi Hendrix synthesized various elements of the cutting edge of 1967 rock into music that sounded both futuristic and rooted in the best traditions of rock, blues, pop, and soul. It was his mind-boggling guitar work, of course, that got most of the ink, building upon the experiments of British innovators like Jeff Beck and Pete Townshend to chart new sonic territories in feedback, distortion, and sheer volume. It wouldn't have meant much, however, without his excellent material, whether psychedelic frenzy ("Foxey Lady," "Manic Depression," "Purple Haze"), instrumental freak-out jams ("Third Stone From the Sun"), blues ("Red House," "Hey Joe"), or tender, poetic compositions ("The Wind Cries Mary") that demonstrated the breadth of his songwriting talents. Not to be underestimated were the contributions of drummer Mitch Mitchell and bassist Noel Redding, who gave the music a rhythmic pulse that fused parts of rock and improvised jazz. Many of these songs are among Hendrix's very finest; it may be true that he would continue to develop at a rapid pace throughout the rest of his brief career, but he would never surpass his first LP in terms of consistently high quality. The British and American versions of the album differed substantially when they were initially released in 1967; MCA's 17-song CD reissue does everyone a favor by gathering all of the material from the two records in one place, adding a few B-sides from early singles as well. Tracklist 1. Purple Haze 2. Manic Depression 3. Hey Joe 4. Love or Confusion 5. May This Be Love 6. I Don't Live Today 7. The Wind Cries Mary 8. Fire 9. Third Stone from the Sun 10. Foxey Lady 11. Are You Experienced? Disc 2: Axis Bold As Love AMG Review When the Experience recorded their second album, they were in the process of solidfying their international stardom. That meant access to more studio time and more sophisicated technology, but not, alas, a great deal of time to write the material. That may be why Axis isn't quite as much of a tour de force as Are You Exerienced?, but it's nevertheless another major effort, showing Hendrix continuing to grow, particularly in his increasing mastery of the studio and more sophisticated lyrics. Soul and R&B influences are more prominent here than on his debut, though psychedelic experimentalism ran rampant (to great effect) on "If 6 Was 9." "Spanish Castle Magic," "Up From the Skies," "You Got Me Floatin'," and "Castles Made of Sand" all had funky grooves that gave the spiraling guitars and crunchy rhythm section a much-needed buoyancy. The best song, though, might have been the mellowest: "Little Wing" was Hendrix at his most delicate, and perhaps his most personal. Tracklist 1. EXP 2. Up From The Skies 3. Spanish Castle Magic 4. Wait Until Tomorrow 5. Ain't No Telling 6. Little Wing 7. If 6 Was 9 8. You Got Me Floatin' 9. Castles Made Of Sand 10. She's So Fine 11. One Rainy Wish 12. Little Miss Lover 13. Bold As Love Disc 2: Axis Bold As Love AMG Review With Electric Ladyland, Hendrix took psychedelic experimentation as far as he could within the original Experience trio format. That meant pushing the barriers of late-'60s studio technology as far as they could bend, particularly with regard to multi-tracking and effects that could only be achieved through certain treatments and manipulation of the tape itself. It also meant greater freedom and looseness in the playing and the songwriting, which could be both a plus and a drawback, as the compositions became both less constricted and less concise. Not all of the material here is top-of-the-line, but certainly much of this is Hendrix at his best: the dreamy wah-wah guitars of "Rainy Day, Dream Away" were only matched by the dreaminess of the lyrics, and "Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland)" and "Gypsy Eyes" were also standouts. "1983...(A Merman I Should Turn to Be)" and "Voodoo Chile" were lengthy cuts dominated by jam-like instrumental passages; "Crosstown Traffic" and a cover of Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower," by contrast, were two of his catchiest and most pop-friendly tunes. "Voodoo Chile," "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)," and a cover of Earl King's "Come On" are three of his most determined forays into the blues, albeit the blues as fed through a nearly avant-garde filter. Originally released as a double album, the CD reissue fits the entire recording onto one 75-minute disc. Tracklist 1. ... And The Gods Made Love 2. Have You Ever Been (To Electric Ladyland) 3. Crosstown Traffic 4. Voodoo Chile 5. Little Miss Strange 6. Long Hot Summer Night 7. Come On (Let The Good Times Roll) 8. Gypsy Eyes 9. Burning Of The Midnight Lamp 10. Rainy Day, Dream Away 11. 1983 ... (A Merman I Should Turn To Be) 12. Moon, Turn The Tides ... Gently Gently Away 13. Still Raining, Still Dreaming 14. House Burning Down 15. All Along The Watchtower 16. Voodoo Child (Slight Return) Disc 4: The Cry Of Love rateyourmusic Review (Sorry no one avaiable on AMG) a VERY under-rated album! This was Jimi's last studio album before his death, and the first Hendrix album I owned, although I was already familiar with most of his big "FM" songs. This reminds me of The Beatles "Abbey Road" in that in both of these albums you can tell that these artists hadn't peaked yet, and leaves you wondering what might have been "if". Very progressive stuff, and like most of his work, way ahead of it's time! Fave tracks: "Freedom" "Angel" "My Friend" Tracklist 1. Freedom 2. Drifting 3. Ezy Ryder 4. Night Bird Flying 5. My Friend 6. Straight Ahead 7. Astro Man 8. Angel 9. In From the Storm 10. Belly Button Window All Discs are ripped with EAC 0.95pb5 and Encoded with Flac/Level 8. Enjoy. Empty |

Jimi Hendrix First Rays Of The New Rising Sun (Eac Ape).rar Ремастированный "Are you experienced" ключил в себя английскую версию с амерскими бонусами (всего 17 песен): Jimi Hendrix - Are you experienced (EAC APE).rar Jimi.Hendrix-Axis.Bold.as.Love.FLAC.rar и Jimi.Hendrix.-.Electric.Ladyland(1968).(EAC.Ape).rar вроде как отсюда скачивал. А вот еще Dts Audio Cd - Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland.rar Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland - to [DVD].avi "Band Of Gypsys" ремастированный я когда-то сам брал в библиотеке и звук у него другой. И вообще Box такой в amazone даже и не значится. Так что не обижайтесь. Я сам этот box уже скачал, но все же как-то хочется больше издания 1997-го года. |
